Joins several PDFs into one, in the order you choose. Files are processed inside the browser rather than uploaded, so contracts and scanned ID are safe to use.
Submissions usually want one file
Applications and government forms often insist on a single PDF. Scanners that saved each sheet separately, or photos taken in batches, have to be joined first.
Order is the document
Files are joined in the order they are listed. Moving them up and down into place before merging is less work than moving pages afterwards. Each file shows its page count, so you know how long the result will be before you make it.
Example: one-page cover and three-page document
A one-page cover followed by a three-page document produces four pages. Check both the count and order in the saved result. The processing module may need an internet connection on first use.
Up to 200MB in total
Everything is processed in this device's memory, hence the cap. A colour scan at 300dpi runs to several megabytes per page, so a few dozen pages fill it quickly. For a single final file, reduce the source sizes first. Merging in batches does not remove the combined-size limit.
Files are opened when you pick them
Each file is opened once on selection to count its pages. A password-protected or damaged file is reported at that moment, not after you press merge — so you never add ten files and have the last one fail at the end.
Page sizes are kept
If A4 and Letter pages are mixed, they stay mixed. Pages are moved, not redrawn, which keeps the quality and also leaves the sizes alone. Turn on fit-to-page when printing and everything comes out at one size.
Turn photos into PDFs first
A photo of a document taken on a phone is not a PDF and cannot be added here. Shrink it with the image tool, open it in the browser and choose Save as PDF from the print dialog; that gives a one-page PDF. Join those PDFs here in order and you have one file. Shrinking the photos first keeps the merged file light too.
Common questions
How many files can I merge?
There is no set limit, but everything runs in this device's memory, so a stack of very large files may strain the browser.
What about password-protected files?
Files that ask for a password to open cannot be read. Merge unprotected copies.
I want to remove pages afterwards.
Use the page-deletion tool to drop the pages you do not need.
Can I turn photos into a PDF?
This joins PDFs only. Turn photos into a PDF first using Save as PDF from the print dialog.
Do bookmarks come across?
Only pages are moved. The document's bookmarks do not follow, so if you need them, add them again in another program after merging.
What is the file called?
It downloads as a merged document PDF. If the recipient wants a particular name, rename it after saving.
The merged file is bigger than the originals combined.
When the same font is embedded in each file separately, each copy survives the merge and adds to the size. Pages are only moved, so duplicates are not consolidated.
